NEW POSITIONS OPEN WITH PRO SE PRODUCTIONS!
Pro Se
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-
NEW POSITIONS AVAILABLE WITH PRO SE PRODUCTIONS
FORMATTERS WANTED- Pro Se Productions is currently seeking to expand its formatting and design staff. This is not due to a reduction in current staff, but is an expansion in order to increase production of works from Pro Se Productions.
Print Text Formatters- Text Formatters will be preparing manuscripts for publication. Although not required, it is preferred that Formatters have experience in preparing documents for publication and conversion to PDF for Createspace. It is also preferred that applicants have possession of and experience in using InDesign for formatting purposes. If not, formatters using similar programs or with experience using Createspace templates will also be considered for this position.
Cover/Logo Designers/Formatters- Cover Designers/Formatters will design logos and work with cover art to provide front and back covers for upcoming Pro Se releases. Illustrator and Photoshop would be necessary. Adobe Creative Suite would be recommended as well.
Supervision- All successful applicants for the above positions will be under the direct supervision of Pro Se’s Art Director, Sean Ali, who will have final say, in conjunction with the Editor in Chief of Pro Se, on all work submitted.
Compensation- Each of these positions pays a royalty on every dollar made on every project the formatters are involved in. One person can apply for and be accepted for both positions, which will increase the royalty. Ideally, Pro Se prefers individuals who can do both positions as this increases speed and productivity. Royalty percentages will be discussed when applicants apply.
Also, all applicants will be given a test piece to format for each position and that test as well as the applicant’s ability to work quickly with little supervision will be a factor heavily considered in hiring.
If interested in either position, email Morgan Minor at MorganMinorProSe@yahoo.com to receive a test piece for either or both positions. Although experience is not required, it is preferred. Please list any formatting experience you have had in your inquiry. Refer any questions to the same address.
