John Simcoe- Author

John simcoe- AUTHOR

Simcoe

John Simcoe grew up in rural Western New York where there wasn't much on TV, so he was happy to find entertainment in books and comics.

His love for science-fiction, fantasy and the heroes therein soon fired up his imagination and he was writing and drawing his own stories in no time. Those stories started out as clunky and misshapen, but over time they got better and better.

By his teens, he was drawing a comic strip for the high school newspaper. Following the advice of a favorite author, he also selected a career path -- journalism. The idea was that he would learn to write better, understand publishing, get a better handle on how to communicate and learn a lot about the world.

While working in newspapers, Simcoe amassed a collection of free-lance writing credits including work for West End Games, Paizo Publishing, RPG Objects, EN World Publishing and Diamond Comic Distributors. In the newspaper business, he worked as an editor, writer, columnist, blogger, designer and illustrator. He has also written, drawn and self-published two comics and writes regularly on pop culture and comics at ComicsOnTheBrain.com.

Among his favorite authors are Robert Aspirin, Robert Bloch, Will Murray, Mark Gruenwald and Bret Easton Ellis.

Pro Se Productions published Simcoe's first novel, "Tommy One and the Apocalypse Gun" in 2015. Look for more titles and contributions from him soon.

Simcoe lives, works and writes in Pennsylvania.

When the evil Captain Blackeye unleashes his deadly new weapon on the city of Norfolk, Virginia, it's up to Tommy One, the so called Eternal Teenager, to stop the horrific plot. After the fiendish pirate-scientist shoots the teen hero dead, Blackeye thinks that at long last his plucky enemy is done. But that's not how Tommy One works! Behind every Tommy One, there's a Tommy Two waiting to replace him -- an exact duplicate with all the skills and memories of his predecessor. And if that Tommy goes, there's another to replace him! But are an unlimited supply of heroes enough to stop the the devastating effects of the Apocalypse Gun? And what happens to the Tommy Infinity project when Tommy One suddenly acquires a girlfriend? And just who created this army of clones in the first place? Find out this and more as you live the adventure of a hundred lifetimes in Tommy One and the Apocalypse Gun by John Simcoe and published by Pro Se Productions!

The Musketeers-Men That Lived and Died and Legends in their own time. But some fought valiantly and never received the notice Alexandre Dumas and others have brought to their brothers. Many wore a different mantle, posing as a special guard, when in fact their lives…their very souls…were dedicated to a different battle, waging a war against the supernatural and evil from beyond. HAUNTED BLADES: TALES OF THE BLACK MUSKETEERS pulls back the bloody curtain on a secret organization within the most well-known fighting force of rogues and warriors known to history. Enemies beyond human ken demand a different sort of man to confront them. Men willing to never be known for their work. Men prepared to die and be forgotten so evil will not triumph. These men are remembered in HAUNTED BLADES: TALES OF THE BLACK MUSKETEERS. From Pro Se Productions.
