Based in Batesville, Arkansas, Pro Se Productions has become a leader on the cutting edge of New Pulp Fiction in a very short time.

Pulp Fiction, known by many names and identified as being action/adventure, fast paced, hero versus villain, over the top characters and tight, yet extravagant plots, is experiencing a resurgence like never before. And Pro Se Press, publishing New Pulp since August, 2011, is a major part of the revival, one of the reasons that New Pulp is growing by leaps and bounds!

Pro Se is the place to find Super Heroes, Explorers, Fairies, Werewolves, Men's Men, and Femme Fatales.  Specializing primarily in prose books, anthologies, and magazines, Pro Se has made a commitment to 'Put the Monthly Back into Pulp' and continues to do that successfully, producing at least one New Pulp work every month!

S.C. RIGGENBERG- AUTHOR

S.C. “Steve” Ringgenberg matriculated through the Creative Writing program at the University of Arizona and has been a freelance writer for more than thirty years. In that time he has interviewed over 200 people, including comics professionals from every facet of the industry including Frank Miller, Joe Kubert, Harvey Kurtzman, Todd MacFarlane, Archie Goodwin, Gil Kane, Jerry Robinson, and illustrators like Frank Frazetta, Robert McCall, Ken Kelly, Jeff Jones, William Stout, plus film industry personalities such as Syd Mead, Stan Winston, Tony Todd, Brinke Stevens, and others. A lifelong space buff, he even interviewed two Apollo astronauts, Pete Conrad and Alan Bean. Among his many published works, he has written comics scripts and articles for DC, Marvel, Bongo Comics, Heavy Metal, and Dark Horse. He also authored six young adult mystery novels for Simon and Shuster, co-wrote the book Al Williamson: Hidden Lands. Additionally, he contributed articles and interviews to Russ Cochran’s Complete EC Library. From 1999 until 2011, he wrote the Dossier column for Heavy Metal magazine.

Currently, he is writing biographies of the E.C. Comics artists for Fantagraphics, and several of his interviews with EC contributors are included in the book: The Comics Journal Library: The EC Artists (Vol. 8). He has also contributed a number of articles and interviews to the Creepy and Eerie Archives collections over the years. His most recent work includes writing articles and biographies for the 2013 and 2014 editions of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and various articles for Gemstone Publishing and TwoMorrows Publishing. He wrote a biography of African-American cartoonist Matt Baker for The Lost Art of Matt Baker: Volume One. His first short story collection, Zombie Gundown and Other Tales, is due out sometime in 2014, and he is currently writing a novel featuring his Synwulfe, Bounty Hunter® character, that initially appeared in Heavy Metal. When he’s not writing, he likes to read comics, listen to the Blues, attend the Burning Man festival, and travels the world, plotting global domination.
