PRO SE PRODUCTIONS WELCOMES NEW ADDITION TO STAFF AND COMPANY’S FIRST PROJECT COORDINATOR

Pro Se

An innovative Publisher of Genre Fiction since 2010, Pro Se Productions has experienced growth in many ways since opening its doors.  Today, the medium press publisher announces the addition of an individual to fill both the position of executive assistant as well as to be the first to hold a position Pro Se hopes to expand to include others.

“Busy is a good thing,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “when you’re a publishing house.  Of course, growing as Pro Se is, bringing in more people to help the day-to-day operations move forward becomes necessary.  Also, we have to periodically look at various aspects of how we function and, when it’s called for, consider the best way to maintain and improve quality of what we’re doing.  That is why we are announcing both the addition of an Executive Assistant and the creation of a new position, Project Coordinator.  What is even neater is that these positions are being filled by the same person.  Please welcome Anna Archer to Pro Se Productions.”

Anna Archer

Anna Archer

Anna Archer was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas and raised by her mother, Karin Archer, who decorated her life with love and German culture. Her father, Arliss Leo Archer Jr., passed away when she was young, but his spirit lives on as an inspiration and a muse. Growing up amongst the mountains and trees of the Natural State, Anna found further inspiration in all things natural. She’s been driven to write most of her life, but began to dwell in poetry early on. In the last several years, she has been drawn to writing essays, short stories, and novels. Now, while preparing to pursue a college degree involving writing, Anna takes her first full leap into writing as a career by joining Pro Se Productions as an author (in the upcoming Lake Hamilton Project collection as well as in a Single Shot Signature imprint to be announced later) later this year. Anna currently becomes of a part of Pro Se as an Executive Assistant as well as a Pro Single Shots editor and a Project Coordinator.

“A Project Coordinator,” says Hancock, “is a newly created position where an individual essentially manages a particular title, series, or event connected to Pro Se.  The amount of control a Coordinator has will depend on the specific project, but it will often entail recruiting and assisting writers, editing, determining schedules (if necessary), and other duties.  The Project Coordinator will work directly with either Morgan McKay, our Director of Corporate Operations or myself.  Anna fills the first Project Coordinator position by overseeing High School Heroes, a Single Shot Signature imprint coming to Pro Se this spring.”

The need for a Project Coordinator will be determined by Pro Se administration and other Coordinators will be recruited as needed, Hancock explained.

In addition to those duties, Anna will also be serving as The Editor in Chief’s executive assistant.  Her duties in this capacity will include managing day-to-day schedules and communication, making announcements, and other duties to allow the Editor in Chief to devote time to other functions, such as promotion and expansion.

Hancock continues, “This doesn’t change accessibility to Morgan or myself.  Quite simply, the work we are doing in order to grow Pro Se has gotten to a point that help was necessary simply to keep things moving.  Anna has shown not only an organizational skill that is above average, but the training she has received in editing from various sources makes her a valuable asset to Pro Se in multiple ways.”

Archer’s email address for her various duties is projectcoordinator@prose-press.com.
