Known for cutting edge Genre titles and breathing new life into Pulp Fiction, Pro Se Productions proudly announces a new series debuting in 2014 written by one of the new exciting voices of Urban Fantasy.  Author James R. Tuck’s CHAMPIONS OF HOLLOW EARTH  is packed with action as well as being solidly rooted in a longstanding Pulp tradition.

“CHAMPIONS OF HOLLOW EARTH,” according to Tuck, “is a series of four novels and a companion multi-author anthology chronicling the struggle to survive in Hyperborea, a land that exists inside a Hollow Earth. It is a war-torn place where humans fight to survive against the unstoppable Kurg, a race of Nazi Lizard men, and their bloodthirsty, genocidal Reptile Reich.”

James R. Tuck is a multi-published author, owner of Family Tradition Tattoo in Marietta, Ga, and photographer under the name Von Tuck.  He lives in the Atlanta area with his lovely wife, a cool son, a terrific daughter, and four kooky dogs. His work includes the DEACON CHALK series (Kensington Books) and the CHAMPIONS OF HOLLOW EARTH series (Pro Se Press forthcoming 2014) as well as being the editor of the Sword and Sorcery double anthology THUNDER ON THE BATTLEFIELD Volumes 1 and 2 (Seventh Star Press). His short fiction has appeared and will appear in several anthologies such as: THUNDER ON THE BATTLEFIELD Volumes 1 and 2 (Seventh Star Press), ONE BUCK ZOMBIES (One Buck Horror), THE BIG BAD (Dark Oak Press), HOOKERPUNK (Dark Oak Press forthcoming), ROBOT STORIES (Mechanoid Press forthcoming), and BADLANDS:TROUBLE IN THE HEARTLAND (Zelmer Pulp forthcoming).

As this multi-book epic unfolds, only the final spell of Hyperborea's greatest wizard offers a glimmer of hope. His dying breath calls to Hollow Earth a Champion, one man or woman plucked from all of Time and Space who can defeat the Kurg and save Hollow Earth!

Now his daughter travels through a world whose very nature has been transformed, seeking out the Others, all possible Champions, who have been pulled into Hollow Earth. To honor her father's sacrifice and save her homeland she will find the one true Champion.  No matter the cost.

The series consists currently of five planned titles.  Tuck will author the first, WELCOME TO HOLLOW EARTH due out in early 2014, as well as the second, third, and fifth books. The fourth book will be anthology set in Tuck’s fantasy empire beneath the ground featuring multiple writers.

“There’s a couple of great things,” states Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “that excite me about this series.  First, the whole hollow earth concept has deep roots in Pulp Fiction and even before.  To see someone tackle that with enthusiasm as well as a bend toward modern fantasy tickles me to death.  The other fantastic aspect is the man behind it.  Tuck brings a ferocious passion to anything he does and this project definitely has his imagination captured.  This will be a New Pulp classic out of the gate.”
