COMPANION DRAGONS TALES: FINDING WAXY NOW AVAILABLE AS AN EBOOK!

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions, a leader in Genre Fiction announces that its latest YoungPulp! release - Roger Stegman and Nancy A. Hansen’s Companion Dragons Tales Volume Two: Finding Waxy - is now available as an ebook.

Roger 'Rusty' Rustman is a very secretive fellow—and with good reason. He's not only an untrained wizard who uses forms of magic that are frowned upon, and trades in enchanted items that aren't exactly approved of; but he travels to dangerous places that other magical people avoid, and then writes about them anonymously. From his questionable recreational hobbies he has built a tidy second income along with a stockpile of magical resources. Over the years Rusty has gained a reputation as a shady character who operates on the fringes of the Wizards and Witches Council code of ethics while flaunting Wordsmith Guild regulations; but he's really just a quiet and modest writer mage who enjoys a bit of adventure now and then.

The last thing Rusty needs is a small but very noticeable companion tagging along. Unfortunately, while on his latest trip out to the magical otherworlds, he finds a very large abandoned egg that decides to hatch unexpectedly in his vacation cabin. That begins an entirely bizarre and mystifying set of events that only the cooperation of a spunky and intelligent little rainbow colored dragon can get him out of safely.

Featuring a wonderfully whimsical cover by Kathryn Frizzell, logo design by Sean Ali, and ebook formatting by Russ Anderson, Companion Dragons Tales Volume Two: Finding Waxy is available via Amazon for the Kindle and for most digital formats at www.smashwords.com for only $2.99.

DISCOVER WHAT LIES BEYOND TRUE TERROR IN PRO SE'S LATEST RELEASE-TRAUMATIZED: SPECIAL EDITION DEBUTS

Pro Se

Known as an innovator in Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces its latest release, a book that takes horror fiction to a whole other level.  Within this book reside fifteen dark tales, stories that do more than thrill and chill, that aspire to leave readers not only changed, but scarred.  Prepare to be disturbed to the edge of your seat by Traumatized: Special Edition from Author Alexander S. Brown.

Traumatized: Special Edition,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “is admittedly a bit of a departure from Pro Se’s usual fare.  Not that it’s not pulpy, because Alexander Brown nails more than one pulpy horror moment within some of these tales.  And it’s most definitely genre fiction.  Where this project is something different for Pro Se is, unlike most of what we publish, Traumatized is an extremely personal window into not only the author himself, but also opens up a view into a darkness we all carry around.  And then it proceeds to lay it wide open for us to look at, to both horrify and thrill us as we read.  It’s a powerful read on more than one level.”

Author Alexander S. Brown explores the darkest recesses of the heart and soul to bring readers to the edge of the abyss, ready to see themselves in the hole below.   Traumatized: Special Edition from Pro Se Productions exposes the depths of human depravity and the dank realms of the macabre.  Learn of a depraved congregation beyond the comforts of church.  Journey the downward spiral that forces a morally corrupt celebrity to revile her ugliness. Experience the lengths to which a madman will go to keep his true love.

Join Brown as he explores the world of maniacs, the supernatural, creatures, eternal damnation, and the occult. Divided into five chilling sections, Traumatized features the atmospheric and evocative artwork of artist Robert K.  Read and realize that bump in the night isn’t just a tree branch tapping at your window.  Learn what it really means to be Traumatized.

“Pro Se Productions,” says Brown, “has been a dream come true for the nightmare I have created.  Traumatized holds a dear place in my dark heart as many of the stories were written at some of the most difficult times in my life.  I look at this collection as not only a book that has received rave reviews throughout the nation but a piece of myself that was the exorcising of personal demons and metaphors in society.  Due to its extreme nature, Traumatized has been pulled from shelves in Arkansas, and run out of Baton Rouge, LA.  Although some authors would find these bans to be downfalls, I consider these occurrences to be motivational and inspiriting because it means I have created something that is receiving a response.”

Traumatized: Special Edition features an incredibly haunting cover by Kathryn Frizzell with cover design and print formatting by Percival Constantine. This remastered edition of this collection is available at Amazon and Pro Se’s own store at http://tinyurl.com/lry9hm9.  The book will also be available in a digital edition in the near future.

MISCHIEF AND MAYHEM BECOME FAMILIAR AGAIN- COMPANION DRAGONS TALES VOLUME TWO: FINDING WAXY DEBUTS!

Pro Se

Known as an innovator in Genre Fiction and New Pulp, Pro Se Productions gladly announces the release of the next chapter in its debut line from its YOUNGPULP! imprint.  Authors Roger Stegman and Nancy A. Hansen’s Companion Dragons Tales Volume Two: Finding Waxy

“This series,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “is just straight up fun.  This isn’t just a bunch of tales about cute dragons and the heroics they do or the humans around them. This series is a passion for the authors involved in it, a project that they not only have put years of work into since the early days of the internet, but one that has made them close friends.  Finding Waxy is the tale that basically started it all and now readers can see why Roger, Nancy, and Lee Houston, Jr. all fell in love with this world, these tales enough to create even more of them that readers will get to enjoy in coming years.  Although Companion Dragons Tales: Finding Waxy definitely is aimed at young readers, do not believe for a second that there aren’t enough thrills to excite adults as well.  Find out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.”

Roger 'Rusty' Rustman is a very secretive fellow—and with good reason. HELL KNOWS NO FURY…UNTIL NOW-NEW PRO SE SINGLE SHOT SIGNATURE SERIES DEBUTS ‘LUTHER CROSS’ BY PERCIVAL CONSTANTINE

Pro Se

Continuing with its innovative approach to Genre Fiction and New Pulp, Pro Se Productions announces the debut of its newest Pro Se Single Shot Signature series of digital singles. Author Percival Constantine brings an occult action thriller to the Signature line centered around a man who has literally been through Hell. The Reckoning: Luther Cross Book One is now available from Pro Se Productions.

Luther Cross,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is a character and a series that will strike a few notes with Genre fans.  It has a definite horror/supernatural angle to it and the action sequences sing like fine bloody opera, but the real fun here is the main character himself.  Luther is simultaneously a skilled troubleshooter of all things strange and beyond and a man with his own troubled history, which definitely colors his view on the world.  Also, Percival instills Cross with this sort of relaxed, deliberate approach to the world around him, both of them, and that makes the character both likable and more approachable to readers.”

Pro Se Productions goes to Hell and back with the debut of its newest Single Shot Signature Series. Author Percival Constantine introduces readers to the enigmatic, inexplicable Luther Cross.

Luther Cross has been through Hell—literally. Born of a mother he watched die, conceived as part of a demonic ritual, and raised by monks after being saved by a mysterious, murderous individual, Cross now makes what living he does through confidence schemes…and the death of demons. What led to a school shooting in a small town, and why is there a mystic component involved? The spirits of the victims call out for help, and only Luther Cross can answer their cries.

"Ebooks,” says Constantine, “have changed the entire market and I'm thrilled to be part of Pro Se's efforts to take full advantage of the format with the Single Shot Signatures. With the ability to quickly and cheaply publish stories, eBooks are the pulp paper of the new millennium."

The Reckoning: Luther Cross Book One features stunning cover art and design by Jeff Hayes, main title logo by Constantine, and eBook formatting by Russ Anderson.   The first issue of the latest Pro Se Single Shot Signature Series is available for the Kindle via Amazon and for most eBook formats at www.smashwords.com for only 99 cents.

NEW MYSTERY SERIES DEBUTS FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS-ONE-TWO, KILL A FEW NOW AVAILABLE

Pro Se

A leading independent publisher of Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces the release of the first in a previously self published series of mysteries by author John Achor.  One-Two, Kill A Few: A Casey Fremont Mystery debuts the title character, a woman forced to take on the role of detective in order to unravel a web of danger around her and to save her own life.

“Everybody,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “loves a good mystery.  Even more than that, the detective story is probably the most popular sub genre within Crime and Mystery.  Although she’s not a policeman or a private eye, Casey Fremont definitely fits the ‘detective’ bill.  John has crafted a character who, while definitely being someone you could know from high school or see shopping in a grocery store, also clearly has the skills, drive, and personality to wind her way through a deadly puzzle.  Not only that, but Casey, as well as the other people John plants around her, are not caricatures, but instead are characters that readers can identify with and enjoy.   You can’t beat a series that has both a believable cast and good solid mysteries in one package.”

Struggling to recover from a disastrous marriage and contentious divorce, Casey Fremont would prefer to make ends meet with her paycheck from a temp job; but now her goal of personal and mental renewal becomes one of staying alive as she solves a riddle of murder and mayhem.

Casey Fremont is on her way to interview for a temp job when a falling body nearly lands on her. Three days later, a second man, this one from her own office, dies in a similar manner and Casey is drawn into the intrigue. She confirms her suspicions, but one of her her friends ends up in the hands of kidnappers.  Casey must solve the mystery before she becomes the third body to go over the railing.

Author John Achor introduces amateur sleuth Casey Fremont in a newly released and re-edited edition of One-Two, Kill A Few: A Casey Fremont Mystery, the first in the Casey Fremont series from Pro Se Productions.

Featuring a fantastic cover and logo design by Jeffrey Hayes and print formatting by Percival Constantine, One-Two, Kill A Few: A Casey Fremont Mystery is available in print at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Pro Se’s own store at http://tinyurl.com/qeydwum for 15.00.  The book is also available as an eBook, formatting and design by Russ Anderson, from Amazon for the Kindle and www.smashwords.com in various formats for only $2.99.

SINGLE SHOT REBORN! CORPUS VILE: DEATH ON BROADSTREET DEBUTS (AGAIN) FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS

Pro Se

In December 2013, Pro Se Productions debuted its Single Shot line of digital singles.  Amongst the first in that line was a story by noted New Pulp Author Jim Beard.  The tale centered on the terror brought to a city by a villain who in fact was already dead.   The story acts as a prelude to an upcoming Single Shot Signature Series by Beard.  In order to avoid confusion with properties not related to said character and to make this rather original tale more unique, the author and Pro Se Productions made a decision to rebrand the story, changing the name of the central character.  In doing this, Beard found new inspiration and brings a new fire and energy as well as new storytelling angles to not only the future work, but also the already published prelude.

Pro Se Productions proudly reintroduces readers to a work by Author Jim Beard featuring a character, familiar from the first incarnation, but also different in many ways.   Corpus Vile: Death on Broadstreet by Jim Beard is the (re) introduction of a new, horrifying character in the world of New Pulp. A disillusioned lame duck District Attorney, a blind adventurer turned mayor, and indeed an entire city find themselves trapped in the grip of walking Death. A mysterious figure known as Corpus Vile takes life from bodies and brings back those he wishes to worship him! Find out what terror awaits all in Corpus Vile: Death on Broadstreet by Jim Beard.

Also, in October, Jim Beard’s Corpus Vile: Death in the City will debut as a Pro Se Single Shot Signature series, picking up where Death on Broadstreet ends.

Featuring a fantastic cover and logo design by Jeffrey Hayes and eBook formatting by Percival Constantine, this Pro Se Single Shot is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and www.smashwords.com for only 99 cents.

PRO SE PRODUCTIONS’ ‘DANAKIL DECEPTION’ GOES DIGITAL!

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions proudly announces that Author James Hopwood’s The Danakil Deception, the first in the Jarvis Love Spy series by Hopwood, is now available as an eBook.

When archaeologists at the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia – the hottest place on Earth – discover a ruby measuring six feet in diameter, the world's scientific community is thrown into a spin. But it's not only scientists who are interested in the discovery. In the wrong hands, the ruby could be used to power a terrifying weapon – a weapon that could change the fate of the world.

Meet Jarvis Love, the young operative assigned to investigate the find. Thrown into a harsh unforgiving environment, Love finds himself battling a neo-Nazi with a diabolical plot to assassinate the top world leaders in one massive attack...

...The clock is ticking, and only Love can stop the madman.

“I wanted,” says Hopwood, “to create a series that captured the color and excitement of the great spy thrillers of the ‘60s and ‘70s, but give it an adrenaline shot to the heart. Readers these days demand rapid-fire prose and that’s what I have delivered.”

Filled with hair-raising action and wild chases, The Danakil Deception is an edge-of-your-seat adventure that harks back to the great spy novels of the sixties, but infused with the high-octane punch of a modern thriller.

The Danakil Deception features a fantastic cover and logo design by David Foster and ebook formatting by Russ Anderson.  This first in a new Espionage series from Pro Se is available for only $2.99 via Amazon for the Kindle as well as for most formats at www.smashwords.com and will be available at Barnes & Noble and other major outlets soon.

INTRIGUE, BETRAYAL, AND MURDER IN NEW PRO SE SINGLE SHOT SIGNATURE SERIES-THE DISINTEGRATION OF DRAGONS DEBUTS!

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions, an independent publisher of Genre Fictio and New Pulp debuts its latest series in its Pro Se Single Shot Signature line.  Author Mark Bousquet introduces readers to a fantasy noir epic like no other A Death in Vastervik, the first story in his Signature series The Disintegration of Dragons.

The Golem War is over. One year to the date of final victory over the automaton armies of an evil wizard sect, the kingdom states of the Third Continent gather in the human kingdom of Vastervik to party. The guests of honor are all of the known surviving members of the 19th Legion (popularly known as the Dragon Legion), the military unit that ended the Golem War via mysterious, unknown actions. In the morning, Vastervik awakens to find two Legionnaires murdered and another the main suspect. Panic slowly grows among the Queen’s men. The 14 surviving members of the 19th are the most popular men in the continent, and neither the dwarves nor elves would dare move against them. The Queen needs someone who can stand up to the 19th to solve the murder, so she turns to the 15th surviving member of the Legion who none may mention without facing the penalty of death, a man locked away in the deepest, darkest cell. With the Legion in crisis, the Queen turns to the one man that she can trust to stand up to the 19th to find out who’s killing the greatest heroes of the Continent.

“Fantasy,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “is one of those genres that many people think may be played out.  From high fantasy to good ol’ two fisted Pulp fantasy, it seems like it’s all been done.  Then along comes a story like The Disintegration of Dragons. In the first Book alone, Mark takes several fantasy tropes and, with some, uses them quite well as we all expect them while he turns others on their ear.  Taking Fantasy down a Noir path isn’t as easy to pull off as it might seem, but Mark is off to a great start with A Death in Vastervik."

A Death in Vastervik: The Disintegration of Dragons Book One features a haunting cover by Rick Johnson, logo design by Jeffrey Hayes and cover design and ebook design and formatting by Russ Anderson.  The Pro Se Single Shot Signature release is now available for 99 cents via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and www.smashwords.com.

TEENAGE HEROINE TAKES TO THE SKIES IN NEW PRO SE SINGLE SHOT SIGNATURE SERIES- RUSS ANDERSON JR’S FLY GIRL DEBUTS!

Pro Se

An innovative publisher of Genre Fiction and New Pulp, Pro Se Productions announces the release of its latest series in its Pro Se Single Shot Signature line.  Author Russ Anderson, Jr. takes flight with the newest Pro Se Single Shot Signature Series-Fly Girl and its first book- The Origin of Flight!

16 year old Caryn Clay is a Phoenix, Arizona girl who would be perfectly happy if you never mentioned (or even noticed) the fact that she’s half-Navajo. She’s never been comfortable with that culture, and she’s never made any bones about that... so she’s more than a little surprised when her Navajo grandmother wills a genuine Thunderbird feather to her - especially when she finds out that the feather grants her limited control over the weather and the ability to fly. Before she can adjust to all of this, a maniac with seemingly unlimited magical power named the Trickster takes her friends hostage, and she must use her own powers—powers she barely understands—to save them.

Fly Girl,” says Tommy Hancock, “is not only just plain fun, but it’s just the sort of concept Pro Se looks for.  Not only does it spotlight a strong female character, but every figure in this tale is three dimensional and leaps off the page.  Russ also seamlessly blends the mythological aspects of the story with a modern relevance that adds a level of reality to a truly fantastic tale of good and evil!”

The Origin of Flight: Fly Girl Book One features a fantastic cover and logo design by Jeffrey Hayes and cover design and ebook design and formatting by Russ Anderson is now available for 99 cents via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and www.smashwords.com.

1950s ATOMIC PULP RETURNS IN LATEST PRO SE SINGLE SHOT- BIG OL’ SCORPION BY FRANK SCHILDINER DEBUTS

Pro Se

A cutting edge Publisher of New Pulp and Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions and author Frank Schildiner take readers back to a time of rock and roll music, soda shops, atomic bomb tests, and oversized insects in the latest Pro Se Single Shot digital – Schildiner’s Big Ol’ Scorpion!

“Everybody loves,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “those classic monster movies where things once small come stomping out of radiated deserts to terrorize the townsfolk.  Not only does Frank capture that spirit perfectly in this story, but he does it with a rather unique take on the hero.   His musician is most definitely shrouded in shades of all the great 1950s rockabilly performers, but there’s more to him than meets the eye and that makes this story really sing.”

Big Ol’ Scorpion is the tale as classic as fiction itself. A Rockabilly guitarist comes to town and ends up facing down a giant monster straight out of the atomic era. The pages almost flicker like a black and white television as noted New Pulp and Genre author Schildiner reaches back to the era of 1950s nuclear fear inspired mutation movies and pits a musician playing the Devil’s music against everyone’s worst nightmare.

ARTIST RICK JOHNSON BRINGS UNIQUE STYLE TO PRO SE PRODUCTIONS!

Pro Se

Known as much for its stunning covers as it is for the Genre Fiction and New Pulp it publishes, Pro Se Productions announces today that artist Rick Johnson has joined the ranks of the company’s cover artists.

“The cover,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is as important on many levels as the pages inside it, at least for Pro Se.  We have a reputation of putting out the best looking books as well as the best written ones in Genre Fiction and Rick coming on board is only going to insure that continues.  Rick’s unique style blends comic book technique with a stark, almost gritty line art that sets his work apart, makes it stand out from the pack.   Whether or not it’s fantasy or straight up hard boiled stuff, Rick has not only the talent, but also a taste for the sort of stuff Pro Se produces and our fans like to read.  Plus, the man’s got enough personality to more than fit in with the rest of us at Pro Se and that’s always an added benefit.”

Rick Johnson (aka The World's Smallest Giant) is a writer/artist living in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Having grown up on a steady diet of comic books and horror movies, he naturally thought he could earn a living in one of those fields. Much to his surprise, life often throws curve balls. So Rick took a “real” job and became a productive citizen. But he never outgrew his love of all things macabre. A few years ago, Rick began self publishing his own brand of horror and science fiction under the banner Phat Daddy Studios Presents. With stories like Bune’s World, LMC-1 and Hard Luck, he continued to refine his approach to graphic storytelling.

A comic Project, Operation Silver Moon marked a turning point. Teaming with award winning writer Bobby Nash gave Rick the opportunity to revamp his drawing style. Taking cues from E.C. comics, Warren Publishing magazines, and 40s film noir, Rick injected a new mood into his art.

Currently, Rick is providing artwork for the horror film Upyri and collaborating with writer Sean Taylor on the science fiction tale A Stitch In Time: The Return of The Invisible Man for IDW. He is also working on a followup to his Phat Daddy Fable Hard Luck and the long awaited “story that will make him famous”... Birthrights.

"I'm excited,” says Johnson, “to be working with Pro Se Productions. Pulp has a long a storied history in this country. I'm proud to (hopefully) add to the tradition."

Johnson’s first work for Pro Se Productions will appear as a cover for The Disintegration of Dragons, a Pro Se Single Shot Signature Series by Author Mark Bousquet debuting in the next one to two weeks.

SCI FI, HORROR, AND MORE COLLIDE IN A PERFECT STORM IN ‘ZOMBIE GUNDOWN AND OTHER TALES’ FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS

Pro Se

Known as an innovator in Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces the release of a digest collection of three stories that blend the best of Horror, Action, and Science Fiction together- Zombie Gundown and Other Tales by S. C. Ringgenberg

“Genres,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “are sort of like rules.  They’re made to be broken.  And then refashioned, welded together, mixed and mingled until they are one wonderfully exciting and adventurous tale that appeals to all sorts of readers.  That is exactly what S.C. has done with this collection.   There’s something for nearly every action junkie in this book, regardless if you like your bad guys dragging their dead limbs along or firing laser beams at you across the vastness of space.  Zombie Gundown and Other Tales is an in your face funhouse ride.”

Flesh eating zombies invade a biker bar! Is it an isolated incident or a ghastly foretaste of a nationwide plague of zombies? Harry Black and his girlfriend Irena have to survive the first zombie onslaught in order to find out while society crashes and burns all around them.

Synwulfe, one of the most feared bounty hunters in the solar system, battles an army of homicidal mutant warriors to rescue an armored vehicle full of alluring and beautiful women. But their great beauty conceals a deadly secret. After saving the women from a hideous death, will Synwulfe become their next victim?

The starship U.N.S. Tsiolkovsky voyages to Rigel 5 on what the crew things will be a standard search and rescue mission.  But the tables quickly turn when the rescue party becomes trapped and is being picked off one by one by a terrifying alien force unlike anything they’ve every encountered.

Three tales of terror and adventure by Author S. C. Ringgenberg await those who dare in Zombie Gundown and Other Tales from Pro Se Productions.

“I’m extremely excited,” says Ringgenberg, “about the publication of Zombie Gundown and Other Tales. Although I’ve been a professional writer for more than 30 years, this is my very first short story collection, and it includes genres near and dear to my heart: science fiction and horror. I hope that my readers will have as much fun reading these stories as I had writing them. It’s also been a pleasure working with the consummate professionals at Pro Se Productions, and I look forward to a long and productive relationship with them.”

Zombie Gundown and Other Tales featuring a wildly evocative cover and logo design by Jeffrey Hayes and print formatting by Percival Constantine is now available in print on Amazon and via Pro Se’s own store at http://tinyurl.com/mwhw7uu for $9.00. The digital edition of this three story collection will be available in the very near future.

NEW SPY THRILLER SERIES DEBUTS FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS- DISCOVER ‘THE DANAKIL DECEPTION’

Pro Se

A leading publisher of Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces the release of the first volume in a new series from Author James Hopwood.  Cast in the classic mold of 1960s and 70s men of espionage and intrigue, Hopwood brings his enigmatic man of mystery, Jarvis Love, to Pro Se in The Danakil Deception.

“Spy stories,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of and Partner in Pro Se Productions, “are tales that appeal to so many readers on so many levels.  And what gets pulpier than a guy taking on evil one on one with a gun and a few tricks up his sleeves, be they gadgets or skills beyond the average citizen?  Secret Agent X along with several other Pulp type characters carried on the good fight in the early 20th Century and then Bond, Helm, and a whole cadre of others followed up in the paperbacks.  The Danakil Deception is a sort of reintroduction to that type of spy tale, but it’s also got the benefit of being written by an author who understands not only what appeals from the past, but how to write espionage so readers of today will stay interested and engaged.”

The Danakil Deception,” says Hopwood, “is the first of six full length adventures featuring agent, Jarvis Love. This story sees him young and at the beginning of his career. He makes mistakes and has to fight to make things right. And that’s one of the key elements to the series – Love’s a fighter. Many a time he finds his back to the wall, but he refuses to give in, fighting tooth and nail to stay in the game.  I wanted to create a series that captured the color and excitement of the great spy thrillers of the ‘60s and ‘70s, but give it an adrenaline shot to the heart.

The HOTTEST place on Earth just got HOTTER!

The Danakil Deception features a fantastic cover and print formatting by David Foster and is now available in print on Amazon and via Pro Se’s own store at http://tinyurl.com/nym72mt for $15.00. The debut volume of the Jarvis Love series will be available in eBook format in the coming days.
