RAYMOND MASTERS JOINS PRO SE PRODUCTIONS AS MARKETING COORDINATOR

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions, a leading independent Publisher of New Pulp and Genre Fiction, announces the addition of Raymond Masters, the author of The Truth Saga, upcoming from Pro Se, to Pro Se’s administrative staff. Masters will be working with the innovative publishing company as one of hopefully several Marketing Coordinators.

“A Marketing Coordinator,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “will essentially handle various marketing projects at my direction. These will include press releases, setting up interviews for authors as well as designing promotions and blog tours, and possibly a myriad of other things. Derek Guenther, our first Marketing Coordinator, has been focusing primarily on expanding Pro Se’s virtual presence.  Raymond, coming from the background of a self published author who has worked to learn the ins and outs of small press and publishing marketing, is definitely the right fit for this position.  Combining imagination and creativity with marketing and promotion is what we at Pro Se like to do and Raymond definitely has the skills to do just that.”

Raymond Masters is the Arkansas-based author of The Truth Saga, a character-driven tale combining mystery, magic, fantasy, religion, and super-heroics (Pro Se Productions, 2015). He is currently at work on a prequel story for inclusion in an upcoming Pro Se anthology.

He has also had comic scripts accepted for publication at Viper Comics and Incubator Press. He's dabbled in the zombie craze with a short story, entitled Dangerous Hunts: A Zombie Father's Day Tale.  He has contributed for both Project Fanboy and Wired's GeekDad.com.

When not writing or reading, he can be found on social media, promoting other independent authors and creators.

"As an author, myself, I realize the weight of a good marketing push and the need for networking with book-loving friends and professionals. I'm looking forward to putting my heart, time, and skills into ensuring Pro Se's authors have every opportunity to get their stories out there and in front of those very people."

COVER ART REVEALED FOR DEBUT OF NEW SUPER HEROINE SERIES FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS

Pro Se

A Publisher of Cutting Edge Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions revealed today the cover of the upcoming first volume of a new and unique series of digest novels.  Author Tyree Campbell creates a heroine and a tale like no other in Bombay Sapphire- Episode One: The Nehru Maneuver, featuring a fantastic cover by artist Teresa Tunaley.

Originating from the UK but now residing in the Canary Islands, freelance artist Teresa Tunaley finds more time to devote to her love of art and painting. For more than 30 years she has been doodling with oils and watercolours. More recently, she uses a more modern technique… her tablet and pen now re-produce creations formed within her warped mind.

“Bombay Sapphire,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is a concept that puts the super back in super heroine in all the best ways. And Teresa’s evocative and quite frankly bright and enjoyable cover adds to that experience immensely.  Readers will key to this book as something positive and fun to read when they see the titular character broubht to brilliant blue life thanks to Teresa’s artwork.”

In the first volume of Campbell’s Bombay Sapphire, Nakushi, a woman of the streets of Bombay, India in late 1961, has been pushed to the limit by her ungrateful clientele, the Portuguese who still control parts of India.  When she prays for assistance from the gods, Agni, the god of storms, answers her.  By bestowing various powers upon her, including flight, invulnerability, and the ability to speak any language [important in multilingual India], he gives her the power to become Bombay Sapphire, champion of those who are wronged or endangered, and liberator of those who are enslaved.  But her first big goal is to free India from the Portuguese.  To do that, she has to find a way to force the Prime Minister to take action.

In the meantime, Nakushi’s sister Savitra wants Bombay Sapphire to use her powers to make them rich.  Against the backdrop of this sibling rivalry, Bombay Sapphire makes enemies of the Deccan Dholes, the gang that terrorizes Dharavi, the great slum where Nakushi lives.  But wherever Evil rears its ugly head, wherever people need help, there will be Bombay Sapphire.

“I like to think,” says Tulaney, “that I am very versatile in my choice of subject matter - my new surroundings provide the inspiration for me to paint on a daily basis and the fact that others may enjoy my work gives me the confidence to continue.”

Bombay Sapphire- Episode One: The Nehru Maneuver by Tyree Campbell with cover art by Teresa Tunaley will debut in the coming weeks from Pro Se Productions.  Go to www.prose-press.com or like Pro Se on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ProSeProductions for upcoming announcements of release dates for this title and others.

ARTIST ADAM SHAW BRINGS EXTRAORDINARY TALENT TO UPCOMING TITLE- ‘DEAD MEN RISE UP NEVER’ BY JILLY PADDOCK COVER ART REVEALED

Pro Se

Known for innovative storytelling between stunningly rendered covers, Pro Se Productions debuts artwork for Author Jilly Paddock’s (To Die A Stranger) next Pro Se book. Dead Men Rise Up Never features two exciting characters in tales of mystery, magic,  and technology. The two story collection also bears an evocative and haunting cover by noted New Pulp artist Adam Shaw.

Accomplished painter, illustrator, and comics creator, Adam Benet Shaw has garnered acclaim across a number of artistic media.  After completing studies at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland and Watts Atelier in California, Shaw was selected as an emerging American artist to watch by European gallery owners and exhibited in London, England.  He has been featured in “New American Painting”, selected multiple times for the Arkansas Art Center’s Delta Exhibit, and shown at the prestigious “Red Clay Survey” at the Huntsville Museum of Art.  His work has also been shown in over 50 group and solo shows in the US and internationally.   His figurative paintings are a prominent part of a 140-foot mural entitled “The History of Cotton” at the National Cotton Exchange Museum, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the National Contact Bridge Museum, and a treasured part of private and corporate collections.   He has created storyboards for several motion pictures, including Paramount Pictures' film “Black Snake Moan” directed by Craig Brewer, stage design for operas and corporate events, and character illustrations for the gaming industry.  His published illustration work includes the series "Dead In Memphis", "Bloodstream" for Image Comics, "David: The Illustrated Novel" from Shepherd King Publishing and "Harpe: America's First Serial Killers" from Cave-in-Rock Publishing.  He shares his love of art through teaching and workshops at his studio in the Broad Avenue Arts District in Memphis.  Recently he has been painting covers for pulp publishers, his first work in the New Pulp field being with Pro Se Productions.

“Adam Shaw,” says Pro Se Productions Editor in Chief Tommy Hancock, “is an artist that gets what Genre Fiction is, that clearly understands the Pulp style.  Whether or not it’s giant robots or two intense armed figures like Afton and Jerome in Dead Men Rise Up Never, Adam’s talent extends far beyond being able to paint pretty pictures.  He has the ability to weave a bit of the story to come beyond the cover into the very fabric of the art he’s creating. Each piece Adam does stirs something special in a reader and stands out all by itself. This cover is no exception.”

In Dead Men Rise Up Never, A man is killed on the streets of Prosperity City, stabbed through the heart by a unicorn.  Detective-Inspector A. Afton Lamont and her not-quite human partner, Jerome, are handed the case and follow the trail to Avalon, a private estate owned by the last son of one of their colony world’s founding families. In a tale of deception and illusion, of an idyllic rural paradise underpinned by technology, of dreams made flesh, can Afton and Jerome discover the murderer in a tangle of lies, secrets and outright magic? And then what do our intrepid detectives do after solving a high-profile murder case? The second tale answers that question and delves even deeper into the fantastic universe Jilly Paddock has crafted.

Dead Men Rise Up Never by Jilly Paddock with cover art by Adam Shaw will debut in the coming weeks from Pro Se Productions.  Go to www.prose-press.com or like Pro Se on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ProSeProductions for upcoming announcements of release dates for this title and others.

INTRIGUE AND ADVENTURE COME TOGETHER IN LOGAN L. MASTERSON'S 'BELTAINE' DIGITAL SINGLE!

Pro Se

Innovative fantasy and imaginative magic collide in author Logan L. Masterson’s third tale of his Pro Se Productions Single Shot Signature Series, Canticle of Ordrass: The Wheel of the Year-Beltaine.

Davia Mollari and the other Priestesses face a spreading darkness. When Davia decides upon a brave course of action to defend the village from those who pursue her, Mairi risks her life to ensure success. Before summer is welcomed at the village bonfire, Rangers, Priestesses and Inkeeps will test their limits to protect both the blooming Maiden-Sister and restore peace to pastoral Matharden.

Born in southern Missouri, and traveling the American southwest throughout his early life, Logan L. Masterson rooted himself in ideas rather than places. Look for his stories “Clockwork Demons” in Capes & Clockwork and “Shadow of the Wolf” in Luna’s Children II, both from Dark Oak Press. THRILL TO THE PULP ADVENTURE OF A HUNDRED LIFETIMES! TOMMY ONE AND THE APOCALYPSE GUN DEBUTS!

Pro Se

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pro Se Productions, a publisher of cutting edge Genre Fiction, announces the debut of a hero unlike any other.  Author John Simcoe takes Pulp to another level with the release of Tommy One and the Apocalypse Gun!

“One of the best things,” says Tommy Hancock, partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “about being a part of Pro Se is that I get to be involved, even if only a little bit, in bringing awesome new characters to life.  And doing that for John Simcoe’s Tommy One was definitely a pleasure.  This novel features a character that is most definitely reminiscent of heroes before him, but he’s also unique in a few ways.  John captures angst, adventure, action, and more as well as any author I have seen in a long time.  And, on top of that, the plot is so purely Pulp, yet written in a way that readers unfamiliar with the style will not be able to get enough!”

When the evil Captain Blackeye unleashes his deadly new weapon on the city of Norfolk, Virginia, it's up to Tommy One, the so called Eternal Teenager, to stop the horrific plot. After the fiendish pirate-scientist shoots the teen hero dead, Blackeye thinks that at long last his plucky enemy is done.

But that's not how Tommy One works! Behind every Tommy One, there's a Tommy Two waiting to replace him -- an exact duplicate with all the skills and memories of his predecessor. And if that Tommy goes, there's another to replace him!

But are an unlimited supply of heroes enough to stop the devastating effects of the Apocalypse Gun? And what happens to the Tommy Infinity project when Tommy One suddenly acquires a girlfriend? And just who created this army of clones in the first place? Find out this and more as you live the adventure of a hundred lifetimes in Tommy One and the Apocalypse Gun by John Simcoe and published by Pro Se Productions!

Featuring a pulpy by Larry Nadolsky with logo design and print formatting by Forrest Bryant , Tommy One and the Apocalypse Gun is available now at Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Adventures-Semi-http://www.amazon.com/Tommy-One-Apocalypse-John-Simcoe/dp/1511542934/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1429272508&sr=8-2&keywords=tommy+one+and+the and Pro Se’s own store at www.prose-press.com for 15.00.

THE MASTER MYSTIC RETURNS IN LATEST PULP OBSCURA VOLUME- THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SEMI DUAL DEBUTS!

Pro Se

An innovative Publisher of Genre Fiction known for reviving forgotten Pulp characters in new tales, Pro Se Productions announces the latest release from its Pulp Obscura imprint, in conjunction with Altus Press. Featuring a character of mystery and intrigue, The New Adventures of Semi Dual is now available in print and digital format.

“Semi Dual,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is unlike any other occult investigator to follow him, primarily because he incorporates aspects of every type of mystic detective you could imagine. Aloof, mysterious, dangerous, adventurous, intelligent, and more, Semi Dual is the ultimate occult investigator.  Also, his story as told originally was so involved and intricate, the character essentially demands new stories be written about him and Pulp Obscura is glad to oblige.”

Prepare to be amazed and astonished as the first occult detective of Pulp Fiction walks once more from the halls of the Urania Building and joins the fight against evil! Pulp Obscura, an imprint of Pro Se Productions, in conjunction with Altus Press proudly presents 'The New Adventures of Semi Dual'! Created by J. U. Giesy and J. B. Smith, Semi Dual was considered Pulp's first occult detective. Semi Dual, also known as Prince Abdul Omar of Persia, was an astrologer, a mystic, a telepath, and a psychologist. Semi Dual's name was based, in part, on his methods of investigation: "by dual solutions-- one material for material minds-- the other occult, for those who cared to sense a deeper something back of the philosophic lessons interwoven in the narrative." Assisted by his allies at Glace and Bryce, Private Investigators, Semi Dual peels away the layers of mystery to shine light on the darkness!

From out of the past comes new tales of The Master Mystic! The New Adventures of Semi Dual by I. A. Watson, Kevin Noel Olson, and James Palmer! Available from Pulp Obscura and Pro Se Productions!

Bound in a haunting cover by Mike Fyles with logo design and print formatting by Sean Ali, The New Adventures of Semi Dual is available now at Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Adventures-Semi-Dual/dp/1511433353/ref=tmm_pap_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1428110457&sr=8-2and Pro Se’s own store at www.prose-press.com for 9.00.

NEW MYSTERY AND CRIME SERIES DEBUTS FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS! M.H. NORRIS’ BADGE CITY: NOTCHES NOW AVAILABLE!

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions, a leading Publisher of Genre Fiction, announces the debut of the first volume in a new series of mysteries and crime centered fiction.  Author M. H. Norris makes her digest novel debut penning the first story based on a concept created by Tommy Hancock. Badge City: Notches is now available in print and digital format.

“I am a fan,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions and creator of the Badge City concept, “of the mystery genre, and all the associated genres that go with it.   I’m also someone who equally loves the concept of plot driving a pulpy story and characters that drive their way through a tale, taking the readers with them.  Badge City encompasses all of that and M.H. Norris’ Notches is a fantastic introduction to not only the family that this idea centers on, but the city that they literally helped craft into the world it is.”

A place where the tenacity and the courage of the Police force is legendary? A town where criminals know there are still good cops they should fear? A family that bleeds blue generation after generation?

Welcome to Badge City.

As created by Hancock, Badge City focuses on three generations of a family of police officers in a city so known for the strength and honesty of its law enforcement agencies, the world knows it as Badge City.  And Author M. H. Norris introduces the world to not only the city, but to one member of the most respected police family in town- Deidre Gaye Brighton Tordano in the digest novel Badge City: Notches.

When young girls start showing up dead in family friendly locations around the city, Detective Deidre Tordano is called to solve the case. But between similarities to her daughter and the case getting close to home, does she have what it takes to find the culprit?

FINAL CHAPTER OF NANCY A. HANSEN’S EPIC FANTASY TRILOGY ‘MASTER’S ENDGAME’ DEBUTS FROM HANSEN’S WAY!

Pro Se

An innovative publisher of Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions proudly announces the third book in the acclaimed epic fantasy trilogy created by Nancy A. Hansen and published as a part of her author centered imprint with Pro Se Productions, Hansen’s Way.  Master’s Endgame is now available in print and digital formats.

“It is the greatest of pleasures,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “to announce the release of Master’s Endgame.  The world that Nancy has not only woven in words, but painstakingly built in detail and created with the most passion I’ve ever seen in any writer, unfolds fully realized in the pages of this trilogy.  And Master’s Endgame is the perfect close to this chapter of Callie’s life, replete with all the adventure, action, fantasy, and intrigue that readers have come to expect and indeed continue to clamor for from Nancy A. Hansen.”

War is coming to Greenwood.

A joint coalition of the Dark Ones, led by a wily and powerful ancient adversary, have gathered on the borders of the enchanted forest. Their object: to reopen an all important portal to the shadow world of Terra Incognita, where they will release their fell brethren waiting on the other side into the world of the living once again. All that stands between this confederacy of evil entities and creatures bent on destruction and mayhem, is a single guardian Naiad, and straggling bands of half-starved Elves.

Across the river, in the more peaceful lands of Humans, Callie's pregnancy is now full term. As the armies of friend and foe march into battle in the forest, her child's birth is imminent. Will this babe live long enough to become the savior who unites the scattered allies of the Light World once more, and beat back the Dark God's horde? Or will the ploys of the enemy's Master Summoner snuff out that little life before it has a chance to tip the scales of balance in the Light World's favor?

These are the times foretold: the age of the Master's Endgame!  The third chapter in Fantasy Pulp Author Nancy Hansen’s Trilogy brings the tale told in Fortune’s Pawn and Prophecy’s Gambit to an adventurous, explosive ending.  Masterful at both elaborate description and edge of your seat action, Hansen delivers a fully realized heroine in Callie in Master’s Endgame, from Hansen’s Way and Pro Se Productions.

SMALL TOWN CRIME CAN PROVE DEADLY! CHARLES BOECKMAN PRESENTS JUDSON AND GARDNER DEBUTS

Pro Se

Since the 1930s, author Charles Boeckman has created characters that have thrilled Pulp and Genre Fans of all sorts. Cowboys, detectives, and jazz musicians have played, rode, and solved their way through adventures untold. Pro Se Productions, an innovative publisher of Genre Fiction and New Pulp, brings the best of this pulp master’s creations back to life in new stories by today’s best authors. Two such characters found their way into Boeckman’s original tale, Blind Date, as a team and they live on that way now in Charles Boeckman Presents Judson and Gardner!

“Charles Boeckman,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “has a way with mysteries.  Weaving them through jazz musicians, big city cops, and private detectives, he definitely practiced that skill best with Judson and Gardner.  In their debut story, Mister Boeckman created not only two strong individual characters, but a pair, a team of crime solvers that were both capable of the task before them and relatable to the reader.  Flawed, especially Judson, and determined, particularly Gardner, the two of them were simply ripe for more tales.  And Pro Se Productions is glad to be the source of new adventures of these rather unique crimefighters.”

Frank Judson, a mid 1960s small town reporter, and Buddy Gardner, a deputy in the same small town with detective skills to spare, find new stories and cases to follow and crack in Kingsbury, thanks to authors Lee Houston, Jr. and R. P. Steeves. Judson, a tightly wound trouble prone reporter and Gardner, a rather laidback, subtly ingenious investigator, make the perfect pair to pull unwilling skeletons from closets and dig up murder, corruption, and crime. Death and mystery haunt this unlikely pair of adventurous crime solvers in Charles Boeckman Presents Judson and Gardner. From Pro Se Productions.

The latest Charles Boeckman Presents volume featuring atmospheric art by Adam Shaw and logo design and print formatting by Percival Constantine is available for only $9.00 at Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/Charles-Boeckman-Presents-Judson-Gardner/dp/1511438576/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1427320549&sr=1-1 and via Pro Se Productions’ own store at www.prose-press.com The further adventures of Frank and Buddy are also available as an Ebook for only $2.99 with digital formatting by Russ Anderson for the Kindle at http://www.amazon.com/Charles-Boeckman-Presents-Judson-Gardner ebook/dp/B00V5PDPQU/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1427320594&sr=1-3&keywords=judson+and+gardner and most other formats at www.smashwords.com.

Ravencroft Springs,” says Tommy Hancock, Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is not only one of the best tales of chills and terror that Genre Fiction has seen in a while, it’s also a mythology all its own.  Rich with secrets and stories untold, this world is one that leaves readers wanting more, desperate for the mysteries to unfold.  Logan definitely delivers on that with The Feast of ’69.  Similar, yet different from the digest novel, this tale of Ravencroft Springs handles horror in a different, yet satisfying way.  We honestly can’t wait for more trips to this little damned burg with Mr. Masterson.”

WITH THE WORLD CHOKED WITH MONSTERS, THEIR WORK IS NEVER DONE- MONSTER ACES VOLUME TWO DEBUTS FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS

Pro Se

Pro Se Productions proudly announces the release of the second volume of one of the most original and exciting New Pulp creations to grace Genre Fiction. Creator Jim Beard brings together five of today’s best authors to save the world from creatures, beasts, and abominations in Monster Aces Volume Two.

“Monster hunting,” says Tommy Hancock, Pro Se Productions Editor in Chief, “has a cultural and literary legacy going back to before the written word.  And Jim Beard’s Monster Aces not only captures every facet of this fascination we have with stalking and striking down that which scares us, but the concept does it by introducing characters readers get invested in.  The Aces are not super heroes, they are humans tasked with an extraordinary mission, all with their own reasons and their own failings.  The stories in Monster Aces Volume Two are most definitely two fisted actioners, but they’re also wonderful tales of what people are capable of in the face of monstrous odds. And that just adds power to the punch.”

Tireless and dedicated, the Monster Aces scour the globe in pursuit of the creatures that seek to terrorize humanity. For this ongoing mission, they leave no stone unturned – and no monsters alive. Whether it be in far-off wilderness, small town America, or among the concrete canyons of the big city, Cap’n, Gats, Joker, Digger, and Trill continue to risk their lives at the cost of their own identities to keep us safe from the things that go bump in the night.

The Earth’s Greatest Monster Killers return in six all-new tales of terror, pure pulp action-adventures that will chill and thrill you all over again…as well as make you look twice under your bed. The Aces are challenged as never before, as they face off against not only a Murderer’s Row of horrors, but with their own motives and the lives they’ve chosen to lead. Through these stories you will see a side of the intrepid band of adventurers that you’ve never seen before. Concept creator Jim Beard welcomes David White, Nancy Hansen, Jeff McGinnis, J. Walt Layne, and Teel James Glenn to aid him in continuing the Monster Aces’ mission – destroy all monsters, or die trying. Monster Aces Volume Two. From Pro Se Productions.

Featuring an adventurous and monstrous cover and logo design by Jeff Hayes and print formatting by Percival Constantine, Monster Aces Volume Two is available at Amazon and soon at other online and traditional outlets for 15.00.  The second volume of Jim Beard’s monster hunters’ adventures is also available for only $2.99 as an Ebook formatted by Russ Anderson via Amazon for the Kindle and almost all formats at www.smashwords.com.

BEASTS AND BULLETS ABOUND IN THE MEAN STREETS IN NEW PRIVATE EYE SUPERNATURAL THRILLER FROM PRO SE PRODUCTIONS!

Pro Se

Known as an innovator in Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces its latest release, a digest novel that seamlessly blends the classic Private Investigator archetype into a world of urban fantasy laced with monsters and murder.  Full Moon Affair, Veteran author Richard White’s first in a new series of digest novels is now available in print and digital format from Pro Se Productions.

“Mystery and monsters,” says Tommy Hancock, Pro Se Productions Editor in Chief, “are a perfect combination for genre fiction writers and readers. And now Richard White has brought his own voice to not only a mystery with monsters, but he’s given us a character that could stand alongside the PI greats against any number of thugs, goons, and ghouls.  Theron Chase is as hard boiled as they come, even when it’s a vampire, zombie, or other unspeakable abomination across the battered desk from him.  Full Moon Affair is, above all else, all parts fun!”

Calasia is a nice little town if you don’t mind running into the occasional oddball, street thug, or troll. It was a pretty normal summer day when Ze’eva Blackthorne approached Theron Chase, a detective, with a problem. Someone was trying to kill her. Even worse, that someone seemed to know her deepest secret, because why else would he be using silver bullets to try and knock her off? To make matters worse, it seems that everywhere Ze’eva and Theron go while he’s investigating the case, assassins and bodies keep turning up and the local cops are more than happy to blame the growing body count on Theron. The clues all seem to point to one thing. While Ze’eva is the target, she’s not the ultimate prize. Apparently the person behind this threat is after her father, a man she’s never met, and this mastermind is pulling out all the stops. Theron soon learns there’s a new threat . . . an assassin who has the ability to assume another person or creature’s shape. So now, Theron must protect his client from anyone and everyone they meet and still try to solve the case before someone decides to end Ze’eva’s singing career—permanently. From author Richard White comes the first in a series of supernatural Private Eye adventures featuring Theron Chase. Thrill and chill to the perfect blend of mystery and monsters in Full Moon Affair.

Richard C. White is the author of several fantasy works, including Skin the Cat and Wings of Fire. Additionally, his newest novel, On Wings of Steel, will be released by Musa Publishing as a part of the Darkside Codex, a shared world project that he helped create. Along with writing Fantasy and Science Fiction, Rich has been bitten by the "New Pulp" bug and has several stories coming out by Pro Se Productions in the near future. The first of his, "Notes in the Fog" was released in the Charles Boeckman Presents: Johnny Nickle duology in May 2013. He also is a media tie-in writer, having written for Star Trek, Doctor Who, and The Incredible Hulk. His novel, Gauntlet Dark Legacy: Paths of Evil, was the best-selling tie-in for his publisher in 2004.

GENRE FICTION PUBLISHER DEBUTS GENRE FICTION COLLECTION BY YOUNG AUTHORS-DESTINIES DARKLY DREAMED NOW AVAILABLE!

Pro Se

Known as an innovative publisher of Genre Fiction, Pro Se Productions announces the debut of one of its more inventive collections, one giving a particular type of writer the spotlight, shining a focus on young writers. Destinies Darkly Dreamed features stories written by high school students tackling action, adventure, passion, and betrayal in their own voices.

“Being a writer,” says Tommy Hancock, Partner in and Editor in Chief of Pro Se Productions, “is a wonderful experience. Combine that with being a publisher, and the paths you go down become winding vistas of discovery and surprise, the places you frequent, both real and imagined, are suddenly ripe with possibility, and the people you meet…well, the people you come across may start out as faces in a crowd and then suddenly end up as authors on a page. One such opportunity presented itself at the end of 2013 when a faculty/staff member, the ever excited and passionate Donna Woolf Smith, at Lake Hamilton High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas attended a presentation I was doing to a writers’ group and decided she’d like some of the students at Lake Hamilton to hear what I had to say.  I wound up face to face one November morning with about twenty or so high school students. Students of every type and facet. That’s where the day started. And very quickly, it went down one of those winding paths of discovery because, to my surprise, I had found something else, something more than a mixed bag of teenagers all wanting to miss a day of class.  What I had before me were twenty or so authors, all with their own voices, and here I was, educating them, or at the very least trying to sell them on the benefits of writing Genre Fiction. And now, Pro Se Productions has published Destinies Darkly Dreamed, a book with stories from fourteen of those authors from that seminar.”

Pro Se Productions brings daring new tales from new and young writers of Genre Fiction. Action. Intrigue. Passion. And More. A collection of High School students sharing… Destinies Darkly Dreamed. There’s a reason for the title. Some of the tales go into some very dark places and several of them deal with situations and choices and actions that many don’t believe that high school students think about or deal with. There is violence, there are relationships, there are questions of identity within this book that even society today may not be completely comfortable with confronting, but all of those and more affect these kids every single day. Not just the authors of this book, but high school students everywhere. The days of the gilded age of being a high school kid may not be gone, but they’ve definitely changed. And these stories are reflections of that and expressions of the way authors in this work deal with those issues- by writing, by creating. Destinies Darkly Dreamed from Pro Se Productions.

“Although,” says Hancock, “the seminar was held by a high school, a high school I’ve visited since then and worked on various projects with, the stories you’ll find here were contracted for with the students and their parents. This is a work like any other book published by Pro Se Productions, an arrangement between the publisher and individual authors. I say that so you know that what you read are the expressions, thoughts, and ideas of the authors who wrote them and theirs alone.

Destinies Darkly Dreamed: Genre Fiction by Young Authors features evocative artwork and logo design by Jeffrey Hayes.  The print version formatted by Percival Constantine is now available for $12.00 via Amazon at http://tinyurl.com/pe6vy9x and at Pro Se’s own store at http://tinyurl.com/m5449hp. This exciting collection is also available as an eBook formatted by Russ Anderson for the Kindle at http://tinyurl.com/kbfg2sq and for most formats at http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/525620 for only $2.99.
